Biography

Paul received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics (Optical Wireless Communications) Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, U.K., in 2015. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Dar es salaam Institute of Technology, Dar es Salaam,Tanzania. Paul has been participating in curriculum development of different levels inside and outside DIT. His main research interests include the areas of digital signal processing, optical wireless communications with a particular focus on channel Modeling, optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and multiple antenna systems (MIMO). He has also presented his work at international conferences and his articles appears in peer reviewed international journals and conference proceedings.

Paul has also been participating in various consultancy activities including: Provision of Consultancy Service for Survey on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework for Regional Communication Infrastructure Programme, Conducted research in African Higher Education Leadership in Advancing Inclusive Innovation for Development (AHEAD) Co-funded by Erasmus and European Union, Provision of Consultancy service to Ministry of Communications for Development of Tanzania National Broadband strategy, Provision of consultancy services to Tanzania Port Authority (TPA) in designing of the CCTV security network for all the Tanzania ports and Conduction of situation analysis and later developed course outline for mobile phone technician program for Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA).
