The department is led by Estate Manager and performs the following functions:

• Assist DR (PFA) in all matters of estate services,
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all office furniture’s, fittings and equipment,
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance of motor vehicles, machines, equipment, furniture’s and office buildings,
• Ensures that good public image of DIT is maintained through an efficient courteous staff and clean surroundings
• Assists in innovative approaches to conditioning, maintaining and upgrading of the surroundings of the Institute’s buildings
• Undertakes various types of civil engineering/building works
• Advises management on issues related to the maintenance and repair of buildings
• Prepares sketches and plans needed for making minor alterations to buildings and equipment.
• Oversees development and maintenance of physical infrastructure of the Institute;
• Monitors and ensures that security services are being provided by the contracted party at specified quality and quantity;
• Monitors and ensures that cleaning services are being provided by the contracted party at specified quality and quantity;
• Monitors and ensures that major maintenance works are done by the contracted party at specified quality and quantity;
• Assists in administration of institute’s assets like machines and vehicles;
• Assist the DR (PFA) on matters related to estate services.
