Dr. Stephen Wambura is a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Computer Studies at Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Computer Science & Technologies from Xidian University, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, both Meng (Hons) and Beng (Hons) in Computer Designs & Technologies from Vladimir State University, Vladimir, Russia

Dr. Stephen has great experience as a lecturer, a researcher and a consultant, supervising projects to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Heavily involved in conducting researches, developing, evaluating and validating curricula for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

His research interests are in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Knowledge Discovery from Data (KDD), Computational Intelligence (CI), Bio-informatics, Cyber Security, and Big Data Analytics. Stephen has published and presented several papers in highly reputable International Journals and Conferences in the fields of ML, AI, DL, Knowledge-Based Systems, CI, Bio-informatics, Video and Signal Processing, and Big Data Analytics.
