Dr. Gaudence Tesha is a Lecturer and Acting Director India-Tanzania Center of Excellence in ICT (ITCoEICT) at Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Information and Communications Engineering with school of Telecommunication Engineering, Xidian University, Xi'an, China, a Master in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, and a BEng in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology, Tanzania.

Dr. Tesha has over 20 years of experience in academia. From 2004 to 2007 he served as an Assistant Principal System Administrator for ICT service department at Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology, where he was in charge of coordinating all the ICT planning, budgeting and implementation activities to ensure the services of ICT to academic staff and students. From September 2011-June 2020, he works as assistant lecturer in Computer studies department at DIT. Dr Tesha works as head of academics section from September 2020-30th March 2022 Computer studies Department at DIT. Dr Tesha also acting as Section Head for Research, Innovation and Collaborations at ITCOEICT from 9th September 2021 to 31st March 2022.

From 2008 to 2011 he works as tutorial assistant Computer studies Department at DIT. Dr Tesha from 2009 to 2016 has been working in different position as IT programme coordinator, Departmental project coordinator, Departmental Examination coordinator and Departmental Industrial liaison with career guidance coordinator. He has been involved in curriculum development and review for Diploma, Bachelor and masters programmes. His research interests include Communication Networks, Multimedia Security, Information Security and Wireless Sensor Network.He has presented his work at international conferences, and his articles appear in peer reviewed international journals and conference proceedings
